Email of the month

"I am a graphic designer who works for a printing company and I have been using Photoshop almost since it came out. I've watched VHS tapes, read numerous books, subscribed to VTC training online videos and numerous other DVD's, CDs too numerous to even figure out how many.

Your "Photoshop Secrets CS2 for Digital Photographers" is by far the _/*most superior*/_ (if I am allowed to use two adjetives) training device I've yet to use. I will watch the whole CD and surely use it as my only reference tool from now on." Bob Weidner - PA 8/10/05

Coffee With Colin: Masking

Since the beginning of time, man has wondered, "How will I be able to extract an object from a photo, so that I can put it on a different background?" He looked to thhe celestial ceiling and studied the stars for an answer. After many years of serching, here is your ultimate guide to making and extracting.

New Tutorial: Masking any Image in Photoshop

I have been asked many times for tecniques on masking. Masking is when you remove an image from it's background. I have developed a technique that uses color Range, quick masks, Channels and levels to make this the most accurate and fastest technique that I know of. Check out the free tutorial

There are several tools and 3rd party programs that can assist in masking.

I conducted a review a while back on v 1.5 of Knock out vs Photoshop and a review on Version 2
