Photoshop CS3 Window Size
I like to use photoshop with the main window NOT maximized to the full extent of my screen. I prefer to keep the tools outside of the main
window. All of the tools stay where they are when I close and re-open the program. The one thing that will not stay the same size is the main window.
Every time I restart photoshop, the main window maintains the width I have set, but the height seems to extend from where I left the window at the top
to the bottom of the screen. I usually leave about 1 inch on the bottom so that I can see the desktop. If I close and re-open the program, it is again
extended to the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to make it stay where I left it? This doesn't happen in CS4 which I have used on a different
computer.
Thank you in advance.

Check the option menu if exist in photoshop. But I think this is the problem of your PC. Take the advise of your hardware guy.

I checked every option and can't seem to find anything that is associated with it except for the preference to Remember Palette Locations".
That did nothing to help the problem. I doubt it is the PC because I was using CS3 on another PC with the same problem. The PC I am using now is new.
We just replaced the last one. I have had the same problem on both PCs. I have also tried CS4 on the new PC and that version does not have the
problem. I can't switch to CS4 permanently because there are some actions that were created in CS3 that will not work in CS4 without recreating them
in CS4. They are complicated actions that involve watermarks. It would take too much time and be too costly to do that.
