wow, I swore i commented this one
I like this shot a lot, I think the composition is spot on but it is a tad flat. I agree with Hermie, add more blacks, maybe add a black border
instead of white? (we will ask OG when he shows up)

I'd go with a very thin white stroke (1 or 2 pixels) and a black border.
But what do I know about borders ?

Great shot, but a bit low on contrast. Reminds me of the saying 'fill yer boots' but I don't think they had earth in mind!

Try to make the front of the boots a bit darker. So the eyes go straight to the laces.... Use burn tool for that.

The burn tool is an excellent tool to use. It is a good idea to get used to using it as it can do wonders for many different projects. I like the
second border a lot more than the first. I would like to see it again after you have tried some of the suggestions listed above.

"These boots were made for Walking..."? I dont think thats what these are gonna do, but they make a great image. Nicely done Jamie.
Although beware of taking border advice from OG

Very cool photo, I like the darkening of the boot but not totally
sold on the border. All around great work though.
