Photoshop World 2009
Greetings, all!
Photoshop World has wrapped up and everyone has packed up and on their way.
We had some amazing speakers at the booth:
- Colin Smith
- Jeff Foster
- Tim Cooper
- Steven Burns
- Wes Maggio
We had some wonderful people working the booth
- Bruce Bicknell - Sessions.edu instructor and booth 'manager'
- Matt Keefe - Developer, Programmer, Photographer, Social Diretor
- Darren 'Daz' Winder - The Amazing Illustrating Man v1
- Philip Neal - The Amazing Illustrating Man v2
- Frank 'Cfire" Priboy - Director and Training disk Guru
- Fotodog - You friendly Cafe Photographer
- Kayser Ridha - Big Brother Star and Actor
- Sabrina Bollenbach - Fashion Photographer
This was my first Photoshop World and although the vendors were not as abundant as previous years, I was in Photoshop heaven.
I'll leave it to the other booth-mates to add their reviews, but we definitely made impact on the Photoshop World (as well as Las Vegas)
Cheers

Those photos came out awesome! I will write my review of PSW when I get some sleep and energy, an "8 hour" flight really takes it out of you.
Although I will say it was nice meeting up with familiar faces and some new ones too. Man I love the Cafe family and every year PhotoshopCafe steps up
to the challenge of "do one better", this year was no exception... more on that later.

It was great to finally meet you in person Greg. You're a very talented photographer, as the pix on Flickr show.
I enjoyed seeing all the familiar faces too. Ill post more on my blog later.
Especially to the cafe crew that helped out at the booth. A huge THANK YOU! We couldn't do it without you.

Not sure if you can tell by the photos, but Wednesday was Colin's birthday so after we set up we went to a Burger Joint in Paris and had a great
time.
For me it was the first time meeting everyone in person, except for Frank, so it was a good way to say hi and Happy Birthday.
We tried going to another bar for a drink and they were closing at 11:00 pm. I yelled at the bartender and asked, "Who closes at 11:00 pm in Vegas?
South Dakota bars stay open til at least 1:00 am?" He didn't like that much.
Thursday, after the exhibit we went to Fremont Street (the old strip) and watched the light show on the canopy and did a little photo walk. This is
where the portrait of Colin was made. We witnessed a few arrests, Frank dodged a bus and we hit a speak easy that served absinthe. Very cool.
The cab ride home was a trip. I believe he was of Russian descent and told us countless stories of police shootings and they were all bastards but it
was justifiable. I wish we would have recorded it. It was pretty funny
Friday after the show was the iStock party. It was an this mansion out in the middle of nowhere but man it was fun complete with Ukranian gymnast and
free drinks.
Saturday the show ended at 1:00 pm and a few of us hit the Tattoo Convention right next door. Talk about a difference in clientele. We then went out
to shoot the Bellagio water show and met up with Frank and his wife for a few drinks and people watching.
Sunday was hard going home. Although I'm not much of a Vegas guy, I truly enjoyed meeting everyone in person and I cannot wait until the next
time.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone elses photos. They may show a different story.

Hey all, I FINALLY made it home.
I'll reply and add some pics a bit later, I've got a truckload of communications to do first.
It was GREAT seeing those of you I've met before again and finally meeting the rest of you!
Back in a while with more.
Cheers, Frank

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm still trying to recover.
Vegas wears me out
To all who have never attended, you have to go sometime and hang out. Everyone from the Cafe is amazing. You can't ask for a better family.
