Silent Movie
I was watching the silent film version of Phantom of the Opera earlier today and I realized that I really really like the way silent film actors have
to exaggerate emotion. Once I got that in my head, the only way to get it to leave was to do this.
C&C Welcome as always!
Peace!

Nice work Lexie. It looks like a single flash was used to capture the picture of the model casting harsh shadows. stronger backlighting on the
background would prevent the shadow. I think I would add darker makeup around the eyes.
Very creative use of something that gets stuck in your head. Keep up the fantastic work and thank you for sharing.

Thank you guys for the comments!! It's very appreciated.
Pakalika: Yup, yup 'tis me. The hair and makeup had to be a certain way and I suck at doing that kind of stuff to other people. So I got all
dolled up and had my husband take the pictures.
Jim G, I'll give the darker eyeshadow a shot. And thanks for the backlighting advice. I'll definately keep that in mind.
Thanks!

Thank you!
I've been working with PS for about 6 months now. I started of with Elements 2.0, then found out my dad had PS 7 and put that on my computer and
used it for a while, then went and bought PS2 when it came out.
I just got into coloring pen and paper drawings (not anime) with PS about a month or two ago. It's pretty cool. I digs it.
Peace!

Thank you very much!
I've tried to do a sig a couple times, but the second I open PS, I get a major block and can't think of anything. Grr. Any help or advice you have
to offer would be highly appreciated!
As far as CS3 goes, all I have to say is thank goodness for student prices.

hmm, ok, give me some time on that one, hehe. First think of something you really like. Also, one of the greatest ways to put something down is a
piece of work you have already done. Do you have a piece that you would like to incorporate into the sig or avator?
Like i said, i will try to think of something to help

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Not only is my laptop in the shop for a couple days, my husband and I just moved into a new apartment on
Tuesday and I don't have the internet hooked up yet... So I'm typing this from the Cyber Cafe at my University.
I'm pretty nerdy, I guess. I'm into comic books. DareDevil and Elektra are my two favorites, so maybe something with that. I have a mushroom
character I created that's kind of a spoof on superheroes. Maybe I'll make his symbol an avatar...
Ooh, I just finished something based off the old "Aaah! Real Monsters" tv show that came on Nickelodeon back in the day. So that might work as a
base for a sig. I don't have my laptop, so I can't show you the pic, but when I get it back tonight or tomorrow I'll post a link or something.
Thanks for your help so far. I wouldn't have thought to start with a piece already done. I just sit there staring at a blank psd, getting
frustrated rapidly.
And Hrc: Thank you. You flatter me as long as you aren't creepy.
Peace!

I just remembered I put it on my DA Page. So if you don't mind Deviant Art, mine is:
beeniemaster.deviantart.com
It's pretty lame cuz I don't have a lot of my stuff up, but it's all I got for now. So there's that if it helps.

Wow. Thank you. I'm glad you like it. Aaah! Real Monsters was one of my favorite Nick shows as a kid. I also like Wienerville and Rocko's
Modern Life. All of it.
For the sig, I've got an idea a-brewin'. Something along the lines of "Be afraid. Very afraid." I'll work on it.... I'll be sure to post it
when I'm done.
You should go check out www.retrojunk.com. My husband found that site looking for a pic of Eureeka's Castle. It's awesome. Especially for
products of the 80's and 90's.
Peace!

Thank you Rob! To answer your question- The soft, circular border and text are photoshopping. I don't really has a super-fantasico camera for
photography. I've got a 6.1 Megapixel Kodak Easyshare C something or the other. I forget the numbers. But my dad got it for me for my b-day and
it's been pretty good for my semi-amateur photography.
Other than the border and text, I didn't really do a whole lot to the pic. I took the pic in b&w, then did a levels adjustment, of course.
After that I did a couple little things to touch it up. I brightened the eyes, white stripes on the dress, and "diamonds" on the earrings. Also,
with black lipstick there is a line where it stops suddenly (since it's so far off from the natural lip color), so I got rid of that, filling in the
light spots. But that's about it.
PM, thank you!! Shucks... And Cheers indeed to those guys. It takes
some kind of genuis to pull that off. It worked pretty well though. I digs it.
