Delicate, seethru glass effect
Hi all you funky guru people.
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have an object and I would like to make it appear glasslike and partially seethru, much like the grail at
this link...
I've created a tea mug and am going to fill with a texture and play around with it, to try to make it look ethereal. I've looked at the pscafe tuts
(there's a similar idea for glass text) but can't seem to create quite the right effects on a simple object. I'm mainly concerned with the seethru
quality, not recreating the pattern on the link given.I suspect there may have been similar requests in the past, but I couldn't find any so
apologies if this is a repeat.
Thanks as always for your help, all of which is greatly appreciated, and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

hmmm... I see there have been no replies but quite a few views. Can I just check if this is:
An impossible request?
A tutorial which already exists?
Have a good day! Only...3 1/2 days until the weekend!

Are you doing this as a 3D model or as a 2D image in photoshop? Sorry I didn't see this topic until today - been out digging ditches.
